Cable Hollow Golf Course

The Bortz Family has owned and operated Cable Hollow Golf Course since 1972. Marge & John and their four children all have had a role in daily operations, and with their five decades of dedicated experience they are ready to serve you. David Bortz, a 1990 graduate of Penn State University’s School of Agriculture, received his bachelor’s degree in agronomy with a specialization in soil science and is the grounds superintendent. John Bortz, Jr. is a 1989 graduate of Olivet University and received his bachelor’s degree in business administration, psychology, and communications. He serves as the club manager.

Our tee-to-green irrigation system allows us to groom the course to consistent conditions during the entire season, and our underground drainage keeps the course “in play” during the wettest conditions.

Our new fleet of golf cars are equipped with tops, windshields, and storm covers to allow our guests an enjoyable round of golf in any weather.

To work on your game, we have one of the best practice facilities you’ll find. Our putting green is held to the same standards as what you’ll find on the course, and at 7,000 square feet you’ll have plenty of looks to figure out how to conquer our greens. Our full length range allows you to pull out the lumber and let it fly, or take some pitch shots from a massive practice tee.
